Annual Balloon Festival Anniversary

6 AM is not the pretties time of morning for me :)

Boulders....

So the Boulders finally arrived on Saturday. Unfortunately, the Donkey they use to place the boulders wasn't able to get through the fence line. He was kind enough to at least place them inside the fence line. We're not totally sure how we're going to move them at this point, but I'm sure we'll find a way.

My name on a piece of nature - it just feels weird.

We will hopefully be able to move them to their final resting places next weekend with the help of my boss' bobcat... They only weighed about 3.5 tons all together; we were expecting them to be much heavier.

Thursday Night Cruiser Ride

The Boulder-ites have a long standing tradition of 'cruising' on Thursday nights. Sam has made it to a few of these events... this was my first. We joined my boss Gabe and his family (wife Jen, daugthers Savannah and Lilia, and son Callahan). Good times.

Hallie's New Toy

Hallie has one of the cutest habits of burying her toys, even when there is nothing to bury it with. This is a stuffed animal lion that she wanted to 'save for later'; watch at the end how she tries to push the grass over the toy when the mulch isn't enough. Precious.

Final Deck Project

The first of many projects in the backyard, this is the completion of the deck in the fall of 2007. It took us nearly 2 years to design, decide and bid out the project; but we were ecstatic with the final results of all of our waiting. Finally a livable space instead of a dirt lot. This is the deck now. With furniture, some grass, some trees... and the final touch!! Framed latticing to hide the ugliness under the deck.
